Special Examination Reports

Under Section 138 of the Government of Canada's Financial Administration Act, all Crown corporations, including AECL, are required to initiate a Special Examination through the Office of the Auditor General of Canada.

The examination, to be conducted at least once every five years, reviews the corporation's operations to ensure the effectiveness of financial and management controls, information systems and management practices during the period under examination.

AECL has used the findings of these reports to further enhance its operations and has undertaken corrective action to address any deficiencies identified in them. The following are the Office of the Auditor General of Canada's Special Examination Reports relating to AECL.
