L\u2019inventaire d\u2019EACL comprend les d\u00e9chets g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s par la fabrication de combustible nucl\u00e9aire, la mise au point de r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires, la mise au point et la production d\u2019isotopes radioactifs m\u00e9dicaux et d\u2019autres activit\u00e9s. Il comprend \u00e9galement le sol contamin\u00e9 et les d\u00e9bris provenant de la d\u00e9saffectation de structures d\u00e9su\u00e8tes sur nos sites.<\/p>\n<p>Le mandat d\u2019EACL comprend la gestion continue des d\u00e9chets radioactifs d\u2019une mani\u00e8re s\u00fbre et respectueuse de l\u2019environnement. Ils sont produits dans les centrales nucl\u00e9aires et les r\u00e9acteurs de recherche et sont hautement radioactifs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=\u00a0\u00bb4.19.2&Prime; _module_preset=\u00a0\u00bbdefault\u00a0\u00bb global_colors_info=\u00a0\u00bb{}\u00a0\u00bb][et_pb_column type=\u00a0\u00bb4_4&Prime; _builder_version=\u00a0\u00bb4.19.2&Prime; _module_preset=\u00a0\u00bbdefault\u00a0\u00bb global_colors_info=\u00a0\u00bb{}\u00a0\u00bb][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u00a0\u00bb4.19.2&Prime; _module_preset=\u00a0\u00bbdefault\u00a0\u00bb hover_enabled=\u00a0\u00bb0&Prime; global_colors_info=\u00a0\u00bb{}\u00a0\u00bb sticky_enabled=\u00a0\u00bb0&Prime;]<\/p>\n<p>EACL met r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement \u00e0 jour son inventaire des d\u00e9chets radioactifs. \u00c9tant donn\u00e9 qu\u2019une grande quantit\u00e9 de d\u00e9chets radioactifs appartenant \u00e0 EACL est entrepos\u00e9e depuis des d\u00e9cennies, les registres d\u2019inventaire mis \u00e0 jour changeront et seront plus pr\u00e9cis \u00e0 mesure que les d\u00e9chets et les sites seront nettoy\u00e9s et remis en \u00e9tat.<\/p>\n<p>EACL g\u00e8re les d\u00e9chets conform\u00e9ment aux pratiques exemplaires du moment et aux meilleurs renseignements disponibles. Depuis plus de sept d\u00e9cennies, les activit\u00e9s op\u00e9rationnelles d\u2019EACL ont \u00e9volu\u00e9 pour r\u00e9pondre aux normes modernes de l\u2019industrie nucl\u00e9aire.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9tant donn\u00e9 qu\u2019une partie des d\u00e9chets plus anciens se trouvent dans divers contenants (y compris, par exemple, les tranch\u00e9es, les bo\u00eetes et les cylindres en b\u00e9ton pr\u00e8s de la surface), une partie du volume indiqu\u00e9 dans l\u2019inventaire est fond\u00e9e sur des hypoth\u00e8ses. Cela signifie qu\u2019au lieu d\u2019ouvrir des contenants et de proc\u00e9der \u00e0 un inventaire exhaustif des d\u00e9chets r\u00e9els, ce qui pourrait mettre inutilement les travailleurs en danger, des hypoth\u00e8ses sont faites sur le volume de d\u00e9chets pr\u00e9sents dans les contenants. Ces hypoth\u00e8ses sont fond\u00e9es en partie sur d\u2019anciens dossiers papier, ainsi que sur l\u2019exp\u00e9rience op\u00e9rationnelle o\u00f9 <em>certains<\/em> contenants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 ouverts et inventori\u00e9s plus r\u00e9cemment. Les renseignements recueillis \u00e0 l\u2019issue de cet exercice servent \u00e0 extrapoler les volumes dans d\u2019autres contenants similaires.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Le volume de d\u00e9chets de moyenne activit\u00e9 d\u00e9clar\u00e9 dans la mise \u00e0 jour de 2022 a augment\u00e9 par rapport au rapport de 2019. Cette augmentation est due \u00e0 des hypoth\u00e8ses r\u00e9vis\u00e9es fond\u00e9es sur l\u2019exp\u00e9rience op\u00e9rationnelle \u2013 autrement dit, un plus grand nombre de contenants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 ouverts et inventori\u00e9s, ce qui a conduit \u00e0 des hypoth\u00e8ses ajust\u00e9es sur les volumes de d\u00e9chets dans d\u2019autres contenants. En outre, une partie de l\u2019augmentation est le r\u00e9sultat d\u2019un examen complet de la comptabilit\u00e9 des d\u00e9chets et des ajustements qui en r\u00e9sultent. Notamment, un certain volume de d\u00e9chets a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment inclus dans les projections des ann\u00e9es \u00e0 venir, au lieu d\u2019\u00eatre compt\u00e9 comme d\u00e9chets existants. Dans d\u2019autres situations, certains volumes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9duits gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des m\u00e9thodes de r\u00e9duction des d\u00e9chets, telles que la r\u00e9duction physique de la taille des d\u00e9chets par incin\u00e9ration et compactage.<\/p>\n<p>Les num\u00e9ros d\u2019inventaire ont \u00e9galement chang\u00e9 en raison des nouveaux d\u00e9chets produits par le LNC dans les sites d\u2019EACL \u00e0 travers le pays, provenant des activit\u00e9s en cours et des activit\u00e9s de d\u00e9classement. Les nouveaux d\u00e9chets comprennent \u00e9galement des quantit\u00e9s r\u00e9centes provenant de sources externes, notamment des h\u00f4pitaux canadiens, des universit\u00e9s, des organismes de recherche et des clients de l\u2019industrie. Cela est conforme aux accords commerciaux en vigueur depuis des d\u00e9cennies.<\/p>\n<p>Les d\u00e9chets continuent d\u2019\u00eatre entrepos\u00e9s en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sur les sites d\u2019EACL, conform\u00e9ment aux exigences et \u00e0 la surveillance de la Commission canadienne de s\u00fbret\u00e9 nucl\u00e9aire, l\u2019organisme de r\u00e9glementation nucl\u00e9aire
